Did you know?

Ostriches, penguins, kiwis and emus are all types of flightless birds.

The ostrich holds the record as the tallest and heaviest of all birds! It is the fastest bird on land.

It also lays the largest eggs of any living birds.

There are 17 different types of  penguin,  each type is different, not only in looks but also in the way

they behave and where they live.

When an ostrich senses danger it stretches its neck along the ground. The ostrich is hidden from predators as its feathers blend it with the sandy oil. If an ostrich is cornered and cannot run away

it can deliver a kick with enough force to kill a lion!

Ostriches use their wings to help them balance as they run.
